A couple of months ago I had a weekend stay in London with a good friend of mine.

We stayed in the formally known Hard Rock Hotel at Marble Arch. It’s now known as The Cumberland Hotel. This hotel was a lovely central location and was clean, spacious and rocking inside! A perfect stay for our visit to London.

Shopping at Selfridges

We filled our stay in London with shopping, delicious food and a show! My favourite shop of the weekend was Selfridges! This department store is 114 years old and has so many floors and departments to look at. It also includes a gorgeous pink Instagram-able EL&N cafe! Lush food, beautiful scenery, and just pink everywhere! I even went back to take my daughters a couple of weeks later.

The Chocolate Cocktail Club

We then went to visit The Chocolate Cocktail Club in London. This is a lovely bar in the Farringdon area. We tried a variety of different chocolate cocktails but my favourite was definitely the ‘The Pornstars Best Friend” – a pornstar martini with added white chocolate. It was yummy! Check it out when your next in town. Booking is recommended.

Magic Mike

Our evening ended up seeing a show – Magic Mike! This show was amazing and I would go back again and again. The show was just fab and was really tasteful and the dancers were brilliant. The service was amazing and the show was everything and more. Add it to your list of shows to see in London.

Being Tourists

The next day we chilled a bit and acted like tourists as we went up to Buckingham Palace. I wanted to go to the Mall as they still had all the coronation flags down the mall. We also took a trip to Fortnum and Mason’s. This shop again is steeped in history and the shop was founded in 1707!!! Another little gem to visit in London. Try the English breakfast tea, its yummy.
